About these timestamps
Updated above is when the source dataset was generated. Site fetch: Nov 5, 2026, 4:06:05 pm EST. Fetching an existing dataset does not make its market quotes newer. Both times use U.S. Eastern Time (EST/EDT).
Rankings and market-cap values: CompaniesMarketCap, collected approximately hourly. Values are displayed in USD.
How to read the top-100 table
Rank is an item’s position within this mixed-asset list. Asset / Company identifies its name and symbol. Market Cap shows the source’s valuation in USD. The first 10 entries form the top 10; the first 50 form the top 50.
B means billion dollars (10⁹ USD); T means trillion dollars (10¹² USD). All market values in this table are in U.S. dollars. No currency conversion is needed to compare the displayed amounts.
Hourly collection and the source Updated timestamp
The ranking dataset is generated approximately once per hour. Updated is the source dataset generation time, displayed in U.S. Eastern Time (EST/EDT). It is not the time of your visit or a simultaneous trade time for all assets. The site may fetch an unchanged dataset between hourly source updates.
Upstream prices and valuation estimates may be delayed. An hourly collection schedule does not make this an executable real-time quote feed. “About these timestamps” below the table separately identifies the site fetch time; a later fetch time does not mean the source quotes changed.
If an update fails, the last valid dataset may remain visible with an update-delay notice. Check its timestamp before relying on the ranking.
Different assets use different valuation concepts
| Asset type | What the amount represents | Comparison limit |
|---|---|---|
| Public companies | Generally share price × outstanding shares. | Equity value is different from revenue, cash holdings or enterprise value. |
| Cryptocurrencies | Generally token price × circulating supply. | Circulating market cap differs from fully diluted valuation. |
| Precious metals | The source’s estimated aggregate metal value. | Supply and valuation estimates differ from corporate equity. |
| ETFs | The amount shown by CompaniesMarketCap. | Fund size and the value of its underlying assets are not independent wealth to add together. |
CoinPop retains the source’s ETF and precious-metal values rather than estimating holdings or net assets independently. Equal dollar values do not imply equal ownership rights, liquidity, volatility or investment risk. The list is not a complete measure of global wealth; summing it can double-count overlapping exposures.
For definitions, see Investor.gov’s market capitalization glossary and CoinGecko’s cryptocurrency methodology. CoinGecko is a definition reference here; CompaniesMarketCap supplies this table’s ranking.
Frequently asked questions
Where does Bitcoin rank among all assets?
Find Bitcoin or BTC in the current table and read its Rank. Its mixed-asset position differs from its rank among cryptocurrencies alone and can change with each dataset.
Why is this different from a company-only ranking?
Precious metals, cryptocurrencies and ETFs share this list with companies. Adding other asset types changes companies’ position numbers.
Does a higher market cap mean a better investment?
No. Valuation size does not establish expected returns, fair value or safety. Compare the asset’s rights, liquidity, methodology and risks separately.
